1. RAISE Act-It’s big in the news that Trump plans to limit legal immigration into this country by half. It’s been thought that this administration realizes how much trouble they are in that they are throwing meat to their core supporters. The RAISE Act would cut green cards over the next decade, only let individuals immigrate that can speak english, have money, and have a degree. This is not who we are as Americans. We are a nation built by immigrants. Let your MoC know that you do not support this bill. Read about it here.

Yet another EPA official has resigned, citing budget cuts and the repeal of environmental regulations in her exit letter http://bit.ly/2u1Eymg Elizabeth Southerland, Director of Science and Technology in the Office of Water, closed her letter stating "I am confident that Congress and the courts will eventually restore all the environmental protections repealed by this administration because the majority of the American people recognize that this protection of public health and safety is right and it is just." http://bit.ly/2uhqCQl Let's make sure our members of Congress know that we agree with Southerland that we must maintain environmental regulations to ensure public safety, and that we must also provide federal funding for scientific research and development.
