Tuesday 9/19 Call to Action

Tuesday
1. Graham-Cassidy
Here we go again. The GOP is bound and determined to dismantle the Affordable Care Act. The pressure to repeal Obamacare must be so high for these Republicans who spent the last seven years defiling it.
This was Monday’s call to action and it will be on repeat until we can stomp out the GOP’s attempt to steal our healthcare once and for all. Luckily, our senators are already against this new bill. It doesn’t hurt to call and thank them for their efforts and encourage them to slllooooowwww the process down. If you have a GOP congressman, this is your week to blow up the phone, twitter, email, and fax. If this bill passes the Senate, it will quickly go to the House. We need our representatives to feel the pressure of their constituents. So be sure to get in touch every single day until this is resolved.

2. This Land is Our Land
Interior secretary Ryan Zinke, wants to decrease the size of four of our national monuments and lift restrictions on logging and mining on six others. Why? Because money, that’s why. The Trump administration seems to be stuck in the past when it comes to profiting on land use. Once these beautiful lands are exploited, they will never be the same. Congress has the power to stop secretary Zinke from abusing our national treasures for profit. Call your representative today and tell them to protect our public lands.

3. But Their Emails!
Did you hear that Trump’s voter fraud commission was caught using private emails to conduct business? Hmmm. According to the Presidential Records Act, any emails sent via private account must also be copied and forwarded to a government account. Although this appears to break federal law, Kris Koback, co-chair of the commission has not plans to stop. The hypocrisy of this administration knows no bounds.
