Monday 4/17 Call to Action

Monday Call to Action.  Spring is unfurling before our eyes.  You could almost watch the plants bloom in the sun yesterday.  Divine.

Thank you to all of you who donated their time and dodged the raindrops to support Planned Parenthood and the Tax Day March.  As witnessed by his tweets, you got the president's attention and hopefully some legislators as well.
You even got some coverage in the paper:  http://www.startribune.com/show-us-the-money-rally-draws-about-200-to-minnesota-state-capitol/419535923/

1.  Our President the Flip-Flopper
Donald Trump excels at being inconsistent.  A recent Facebook post by Robert Reich points out the myriad ways Trump has changed his stance on key issues.  I wonder how our GOP legislators feel about the shaky foundation on which their party is based?  If you have a public servant who supports Trump, see if they can explain his actions to you.  Read about it here:

2.  In Defense of Mother Earth
In this week leading up to the March for Science, we will have a daily focus on the environment.
This article from The Washington Post reports that the Trump administration is allowing private sector businesses to give suggestions on what "burdensome" environmental regulations they would like to see expunged.  Can anyone else see a problem with this idea?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/epa-emerges-as-major-target-after-trump-solicits-policy-advice-from-industry/2017/04/16/87a8a55a-205d-11e7-ad74-3a742a6e93a7_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_whrollback-315pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.39fc8baacd11

Scientists have had it up to here with the denial of facts.  Let's hope the March for Science ushers in a new chapter of demanding that truth be paramount.

Take some time today to ask your public servants what actions they are taking to help protect our environment and how they are championing for the truth.

3.  Hit Trump where it hurts:  His brand.  Check out this short video that points out Trump's vulnerability-his brand.  We can make Trump notice by negatively affecting his core persona.
