Wednesday 4/12 Call to Action

Uh Oh. Guess what day it is!

1. Let's do one more day of Russia. There is just so much news to use!
Whoah! A FISA warrant was issued last summer to monitor Carter Page, a former adviser to Trump. It seems he was an agent of the Russian government. I know we have all been desensitized by a constant barrage of scandal but this merits a second look:

FISA warrants are so top secret that just mentioning their existence can be a breach of the law. Just ask Rep. Devin Nunes who is being investigated by the Office of Congressional Ethics. Nunes put his job on the line to report claims of illegal surveillance that turn out to be not illegal at all. Read more here:

Today I am thankful for the Senate. While Congress struggles to get it's "poop in a group", the Senate is quietly holding investigations. Let's hope they focus more on Russia's involvement in our government and less on who leaked the information.

Once again, I urge you to call your representative and senators and let them know you are paying attentions to this. You expect them to do so as well.
2. Bombing in Syria
Reports are coming in that say Ivanka Trump may have swayed her father to bomb Syria in response to the use of chemical weapons on civilians. This may explain Trump's unpredictable policy on Syria. I have no words for how crazy this is.

Want to try to stay abreast of the Trump administration's policy on Syria? Good luck. Here you go:

Our best course of action is to get those innocent families out of Syria and into loving communities in the United States. Let's call our representative and senators and tell them to support asylum for Syrian refugees.
