Tuesday 4/11 Call to Action

Tuesday Call to Action:
1. Russia, we're not done with you yet.
Yesterday our Call to Action included an article reporting the arrest of Russian hacker, Pyotr Levashov. Levashov's wife is reported to have said that he was arrested for creating a computer virus that was "linked to Trump's election win." Such a juicy report! Read more here:

New reports are saying that the C.I.A. has been looking into Russia's meddling as early as March 2016. The kicker is that they believe that the Trump campaign may have been involved at that early stage too! Read more here:

This article explains that hackers (many of them Russian) spread fake news stories on the internet, targeting swing states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Check it out:

Hopefully, these articles will fuel your resolve to continue to contact your member of Congress and senators to keep the Trump/Russia investigation under the microscope. We have got to make a big stink about this. Just yesterday, members of Stand up Minnesota met Congressman Jason Lewis in front of a venue for the Dakota County Chamber of Commerce (a ticketed fundraiser, not a town hall :( ). He reportedly told the group that constituents of Minnesota's second district did not care about Russia. Pshaw! We have got to make our voices heard!
2. Local goodies
Thank goodness for Governor Mark Dayton. He has vowed to veto the construction of a replacement oil pipeline in Minnesota.https://mobile.nytimes.com/…/ap-us-xgr-dayton-pipeline.html…
In light of another pipeline leak a few days ago in Alaska, it seems that the only universal truth about pipelines is that they leak. Call Gov. Dayton today and thank him for standing up for Minnesota's environment.
