Last night on The Rachel Maddow Show, an immigration lawyer from Texas reported that ICE is denying parents bond in order to find their missing children. This is alarming news. Again, it appears that the Trump administration is blatantly disregarding a court order to return these children to their parents. Deutsche Bank loaned money to Trump when no other banks would, and it plays a still-mysterious role in Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. If Trump successfully installs an extreme justice to fill that seat, the Court will rubber stamp the Trump agenda for a generation to come. Trump wants to put a hard-right conservative in this seat: he’s already put out a “short list” of 25 possible picks, and every single one is an extremist. This puts settled rights like abortion, marriage equality, and health care back under threat.
