Wednesday 7/26 Call to Action

It is becoming apparent that Trump has plans for special counsel Robert Mueller. Trump does not like Mueller digging into his finances and there is a sense that he will do whatever it takes to get him to stop. Trump cannot fire Mueller directly. Mueller was appointed by deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein after attorney general Sessions recused himself from all things Russia. Only Rosenstein can fire Mueller, unless of course Rosenstein is replaced as well. How can that happen? One way is to boot Rosenstein and move down the line of succession until Trump can find someone to comply with his wishes. Another way is to fire AG Sessions and replace him with someone who has not been recused. That seems to be what is happening now. Have you noticed how vocal Trump has been lately about Sessions?…/5a51f3fc-7172-11e7-8f39-ee…
If Trump fires Sessions during Senate’s August recess, he may be able to simply appoint a new attorney general without the Senate’s input. Senate Democrats has stated that they will try to squash this attempt but it’s still a possibility.…/…/2629626
