It is becoming apparent that Trump has plans for special counsel Robert Mueller. Trump does not like Mueller digging into his finances and there is a sense that he will do whatever it takes to get him to stop. Trump cannot fire Mueller directly. Mueller was appointed by deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein after attorney general Sessions recused himself from all things Russia. Only Rosenstein can fire Mueller, unless of course Rosenstein is replaced as well. How can that happen? One way is to boot Rosenstein and move down the line of succession until Trump can find someone to comply with his wishes. Another way is to fire AG Sessions and replace him with someone who has not been recused. That seems to be what is happening now. When: A. If Trump fires Mueller BEFORE 2 p.m. (Eastern time), rallies will happen at 5 p.m. (local time).
B. If Trump fires Mueller AFTER 2 p.m. (Eastern time), rallies will happen the following day at 12 p.m. (local time)
