If you follow the news closely it is easy to get overwhelmed by it all. Don’t let yourself get sucked in to the despair. Right now, the only thing that matters is the midterm vote in November. If we don’t get voters to the polls to start to change the face of our government, nothing will get better no matter how hard we fight. If you haven’t started helping out a campaign yet, NOW is the time to start. If you are already helping, thank you! Keep going. Tina Smith’s campaign could really use some more volunteers. She is a fantastic candidate and she deserves our help. Keith Ellison’s campaign could also use some help. I understand this is a controversial ask, but bear with me. Ellison’s opponent, Doug Wardlow, is a dangerous man to have as Minnesota’s Attorney General.
Wardlow worked as legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom, an anti-LGBTQ hate group.

"I'm absolutely 100% pro-life and that will be a priority in the AG's office." With Kavanaugh in the Supreme Court, it is essential that we have strong laws in Minnesota to protect women’s autonomy over their own bodies.
Wardlow has also promised to push voter suppression laws to make a "Minnesota that's more red." “If we win the attorney general’s office, which I can do, we can change the political complexion of the state long-term because the attorney general should be going after election fraud.”
This should send chills down your spine. We cannot have Wardlow elected to the position of Attorney General.

This is what I think. Ellison has asked for a full investigation about accusations of assault by his former girlfriend. If he is found culpable after he is elected, he can step down and (I assume) the governor can appoint a replacement. If we do our work, that governor will be Tim Walz.
